Apollo

Apollo, a God amongst men (and lots of other Gods)

Oddly, this conservative christian chooses to post under the name of a bisexual pagan god.  Mixed messages?  Perhaps.  The naming of oneself after the son of Zeus also shows a certain modesty often missing amongst self-proclaimed saviors of modern American society.

On the other hand, I may be over-thinking.  This guy could just be a really, really big Battlestar Galactica fan.

The one defining characteristic of Apollo, other than getting into pissing contests with other Greek gods, is his constant use of the word “liberal” when creating threads.  A hypothetical example might be “Liberals Force Puppies to Buy Socialist Healthcare, then Kill Them.”  Another might be “Liberals Trick Unwitting Apollo Into Trying Crystal Meth and Giving Blowjobs in Back of 1997 Ford Windstar.”  I’m pretty sure that latter headline will happen; it is just a matter of time.

The latest Apollo headline is this: “Liberal Vermont Judge Forces Ex Lesbian to Give Up Child.”  Apollo explains “I guess since this woman had the audacity to actually become a Christian, they decided to take her own child away from her – pretty sad.”  Well Apollo, maybe instead of “guessing” at things you should actually try reading.  Her child is not being taken away from her because she is a Christian.  She lost a custody case at the Supreme Court of Vermont, the Supreme Court of Virginia, and her appeal was denied by the United States Supreme Court.  That makes her 0-3.  Nevertheless, she is in hiding and refusing to obey Court orders to share custody of her child with the other parent.  Despicable.

In fact, the Judge in Vermont changed the custody from one parent to the other because he believed that it was the only way to ensure that both parents had access to the child.  Therefore, the christian mom “hero” actually lost custody of her child because she refused to allow visitation and follow court orders.  Her own intransigence cost her custody of her child.  What an awesome mother.  And despite her terrible behavior, the Judge and the other parent both want the christian mom-hero to continue to be part of the child’s life.  Which side is more mature?

When Naran tamely challenges the incredible pool of filth that is Apollo’s warped worldview, Apollo retorts, “If it was up to these people, they would abolish Christianity and there wouldn’t be a Christmas. Liberals are not to be let off the hook under any circumstances.”

Apollo, if you’re reading this, I want to speak to you privately. First, take your mood stabilizers.  Wash it down with some warm milk.  Good.  Now, listen up.  I’m a liberal.  I’m not a Christian, but I still like Christmas.  I say Merry Christmas.  I don’t want to take away any holidays.  But when you take the side of a nutcase that lost her custody case in two different states and at the Federal level, you’re not helping Christmas.  You’re hurting it.  You are playing politics with a tragic personal situation.  Custody battles are always difficult and usually both parents look pretty shitty.  But you separate this one from the millions of others and make it about something it isn’t.  You are a miserable s.o.b.

  1. I’m a liberal, but I haven’t been trying to kill Christmas. It’s Thanksgiving I’m after.

Apollo is such a loser, he thinks everyone else must be one too! Just because he is obsessed with AMG (and, apparently, this blog) he thinks people have nothing better to do than post on forums and update blogs. This is what he wrote on AMG recently:

I noticed that “Sam” hasn’t posted on his blog now since April 18. Looks like he is running scared. Don’t be surprised if the website disappears altogether sometime. Liberal bullies always back down when someone stands up to them.

I think it’s time for you to comment more on some of the stupid stuff Apollo posts.

I agree. There’s so much to criticize. For example, this gem where Dan Billings calls me a Nazi sympathizer for suggesting a community should set policy through majority rule.

“AJ believes in majority rule. If the majority wants to march the Jews off to camps that is OK by Joe.”

Hey! I got Apollo to apollo-gize (sorry) to me after he posted link to a PPH story in the Sarah Palin Bus Tour thread about me getting fired from my radio job almost a year ago. He deleted the post and just wrote “sorry” a couple posts later when I challenged him. I consider that a minor victory over a handicapped opponent. In other words, not much of a victory at all.

I wonder how many of the AMG jackasses read this blog and adjust their vitriol based on the actual facts they read here?

This is rich. In the latest “why did we go into Iraq” thread, Apollo states unequivocally the reason we invaded a foreign nation with no connection to 9/11 is:

“Because Saddam was involved in 911, that’s why. Yes, the media keeps jumping up and down, screaming that it wasn’t true, but it is a fact that Saddam met with Bin Laden and other terrorist groups.”

I wonder where Apollo gets his “facts.” Link, please?

For those of us who will not be attending the Republican State Convention, Apollo has opened a portal.

Apollo is a Romney fan and he appears to dislike Ron Paul and his supporters near as much as he dislikes liberals. He can see they are about to shit in the punch bowl. He has links to some Ron Paul operative’s strategies for the convention and he has to kinda support Charlie Webster as the 3 ring circus leader. They are using the word enemy in these threads. It is like a portal into the Twilight Zone.

Apollo applauds the new Maine revival of the John Birch Society.

The response of the Maine Republican party after November is to charge to the right. Can’t get much better than that.
