Jim Corr thinks that Obama is a “poster boy” for narcissism, and he must be right because he knows how to cut and paste un-sourced definitions of mental disorders he found on the internet. Here’s what Jim wrote:

Narcissism is categorized as a personality disorder by the mental health profession. It is referred to as NPD or Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Few are ever diagnosed because few go to therapy. Narcissism is not high self-esteem, but a condition where the typical narcissist suffers from

* Preoccupation with hiding real or perceived flaws
* Overestimation of importance, achievements, talents and skills
* Maladaptive attention seeking behavior
* Inability to empathize with others
* Excessive anger and shame in response to criticism often resulting in rage

The narcissist will often manipulate others, especially partners, to control them. Projection and blame are hallmarks of this manipulation. It is estimated that 85% of narcissists are males.

When one applies the factors supplied by Jim to be used in the diagnosis of Obama as a narcissist, it becomes really hilarious. My favorite is Obama’s alleged ”Overestimation of importance, achievements, talents and skills.”  I mean, really… Obama is the freaking President of the United States.  Is it possibly for him to overestimate his importance and achievements? The guy carries around nuclear launch codes in his briefcase. That seems pretty important to me. What is in Jim Corr’s briefcase? I’d guess the part of his brain Jim removed through self-lobotomy before he decided to abandon his career as a home-schooled surgeon and become an internet psychiatrist.

And then there is Obama’s “excessive anger and shame in response to criticism often resulting in rage.” Excessive anger? Rage? Come on, Jim. The guy is cool. You could wrap Obama in black garbage bags in the sauna and he wouldn’t break a sweat. I don’t mind criticizing the President, but can we at least criticize the one that exists in this dimension?

I will concede one fact to Jim Corr: Obama is a male, just like 85% of narcissists.  You got me on that one.

Here’s my diagnosis of Jim Corr:

Crazyshitnuttery: A state of being completely ape-shit crazy and applying totally incorrect facts to support a baseless argument. Examples: Patient may claim that his white pine trees suffer from Dutch elm disease, that Boyz-2-Men was a badass metal band with massive metal cred, or that Sarah Palin is not in it for the Benjamins. Comorbid conditions: making sweeping generalizations on the internet, a tendency to give undue credibility to any half-cocked conspiracy theory found via a geocities page with a black background, and erectile dysfunction.
