Jim Cyr (I do not know whether he is the same Jim Cyr who is a Special Assistant for Communications to the Maine House Speaker) has a super-smart theory on why I like President Obama. He’s really blown the lid of the secret reason why half the country continues to stand with someone who is destroying America, ending the American dream, and hunts puppies during his frequent family vacations back in his native Kenya.

Jim laments:

This poll, like others, finds that Americans give far higher likability scores to Obama, over Romney. Which is what baffles me.

I know, right? How can someone not like Mitt after they see his well-honed human interaction algorithm?

Yet somehow certain segments (half) of the country refuse to see the Mitt Romney that Jim sees.

Here is Jim explaining why people like me continue to like Obama:

I assume that people like him because he’s black. Which is to really say, they like him so that they can like themselves better, because they are proving how “good” and “enlightened” they are, to like him.
Compare those feelings with the reality of $4 a gallon gas, and extrapolate: people would rather like themselves more, and be completely broke, than like themselves as much as they currently do and have some money. Odd.

That one was so good I had to tell my wife, immediately. She laughed out loud.

Try again, Jim.
