I wonder which Shaw’s or Hannaford’s is the victim of his cart theft. Those things aren’t cheap.
I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt and guessing that another person stole the cart but left it in a ditch somewhere for Jarody to salvage. I think Jarody’s libertarian fiber would strongly resist stealing from a private business corporation.
Wanna bet? You’re too kind!
I feel tricked. I’m defending Jarody!
You would be really defending him if you were to suggest that regardless of the source of the cart, he returned it to Shaw’s or Hannaford’s after using it to move the flotsam and jetsam from the streets of Augusta.
Doubtful. it’s a long walk from northern ave to shaws, and it’d be too shaky a ride tied to his bike.
Actually I purchased that shopping cart from Circuit City during its closing sale.
I always thought you would acquire your shopping carts by legal means.
Who woulda thought there would be a sledge hammer in that shopping cart?

The incident took place on Thursday afternoon and the man was issued a summons from Capitol Police at around noon Saturday around. A man known only as “Jarody,” who is 27 and has been staying at the Occupy site at Capitol Park, was charged with criminal threatening. He also lives elsewhere in Augusta. “
